Widespread Panic Los Angeles 7-15-2005

>
> Hey Y'All,
>
> Sorry for the delay. I was at home for a couple of days building a retaining wall with the landscape expert, Chris Campbell! Sixteen thousand pounds of block and what do you get, another year older and deeper in debt........ Anyway, another fun night with the Southern Cali crew at the Wiltern. Geoff, Larry, and Sam in town for the the last 2 shows here. After many pit stops in the hotel, we hit the Wiltern at 7:00 to secure our spot FOB. I actually brought the AC supply as a plug was right there on the wall! All the comforts of home, although my house never gets this crowded!
>
> This was probably the weakest of the 3 Wiltern shows IMO. The first set was the shortest as well. The Rock was somewhat abreviated and the setlist was not the strongest. I did enjoy the 2nd set better. Gradle is always welcomed in any set! The You Should be Glad was very long and jammed out. Papa's> Arlene, what can you say, hell yeah! My first None of Us are free. The double encore was great. Dino had the lights working very effectively and Chris had the room sounding oh so good. We tore it down quickly as it was on to Tea Leaf Green at Cafe Club Fais Do-Do, about 15 minutes away.
>
> We got over to TLG in about 20 minutes, where was the turn for LaBrea Di and Zee? Chocolate strikes again! We meandered into the dark room and I planted in the middle of the dense crowd 25 feet from stage. Zee was doing a chemistry experiment at the Wiltern and lost the clamp. What would we do without duck tape! Thanks to Stecve for letting me borrow the roll! We only had 3 minutes to set up as TLG was on stage warming up. Just made it. We were treated to a nice 2 hour set including encore. I got to hear my favorite, In The Garden Part III. Maybe Graham can supply us with a setlist in the near future as I was busy keeping all the Jabroni's from trashing our gear in the middle of the floor! Time for the 24 hour Pho Viet Namese joint. Back at the hotel to party with the Southern California crew until sunrise!
