Leftover Salmon 12/27/04 Steamboat

Hey Y'All,

Great fun last night! I landed in Denver mid-afternoon and grabbed my
rental. I was supposed to go to Richard Campbell's crib, but a funny
thing happened. The car would not exit I-70 until I hit route 9, and then
route 40. The next thing I know, I am in Steamboat! Weird. I walked
into Levelz and saw Bill McKay. Doors opened at 9:15 and there was Meghan
from Joliet in line. With the help of Eric the sound engineer at
Levelz, I secured the soundboard patch. I was pleasantly surprised to see
that the Flying Other Brothers were opening. I saw them in NYC last year
open for Kimock. They played a very nice set. Salmon took the stage a
bit after 11:00 The place was packed and about 120 degrees. I can't
imagine seeing a summer show in there! It was great having Pete Sears, Barry
Sleuss, and Toney sit in for various songs during the set! The trade
off riffs with Drew and Barry were awesome! In particular, the Highway
Song was stellar. Ir reminded me of when Mark van Allen and Jeff Mosier
sat in in Detroit a few years back. Here is how it went down:

It was very specail seeing the boys in their home state for the first
time after seeing them in at least 20 other states over the years. It
was awesome hangin' with Sam and the 'Rado crowd! Look out Boulder!
